The tree on the far right angers me :) if the bins and the tree weren`t there i think you would have an amazing photo but i understand you can`t move the bins (or the trees!) You have done well to capture the colours of winter.

Calm place but the compo is a bit too quite... lacks of interest

Intresting Idea - what's with the technical side? It is awfully dark in the corners, what lens?

Wow! I didn't expect that go go so badly (neither did I expect it to be a big winner though).
I must say it's disappointing that only one (maybe two) comments from Judgement Day offered any real constructive criticism. That's the whole point of the pool people!
@murburger01: Missing something? Like what?
@fmp_it: Compo lacks interest. Fair enough, but do you have any improvement suggestions?
@Turms: The dark corners are deliberate.
@david_fisher: Try thinking for yourself.

Theres not much to enlighten, its just a dodgy camera shop (white walls on the left of the shot, thru the trees) that I've had nothing but bad luck with. In short, I think they're lousy and I don't much care for them at all.
But seriously, thats not a bad shot. A little flat maybe due to the overcast weather, but there may be a more interesting image hidden in the branches- maybe an alternative crop or by using a longer lens to isolate those branches against the sky.

Dr. ZAx - don't worry about their comments - this pic made it into Explore for this day...

Congratulations :)

At first I was disappointed at the bins and the sign, but now I like them. S.
