this photo symbolises for me my feelings about exhibiting animals.. the sadness in this creatures posture is heartbreaking stuff. i can see why you didn't put these photos up earlier but they are important. this one in particular may be very useful if offered to a reputable 'animal lib' group (is there such a thing ) cheers jo (joey)

yep, i agree wholeheartedly... but get binjy to talk to you sometime about her experiences working at the zoo - this zoo in fact, when she lived in Melbourne... I can't say that she changed my mind about zoos, but she has a different perspective anyway. Still - a beautiful photo - they all are :)

Yeah, I have (had?) no strong objections to zoos, but on this particular day, almost all the animals looked very deeply sad. The worst were the brown bears (and their enclosure looked like a waseland).
