A fantastically large storm
There is a fantastically large storm going on at the moment (if you hadn’t already heard). I just found a brilliant site: NASA Earth Observatory.
It has details about all sorts of current natural hazards around the world in the Natural Hazards section.
It includes a write up on Ingrid.
Warning: if you click on this image (which I recommend you do!) it will show the full scale image of Ingrid which is 3.93Mb.
You can also check out the progress of Ingrid at the BoM site. And while you’re there you should check out their brand new lovely looking radar images.
As if American politicians didn’t have a bad enough reputation
I read this today in The Big Issue:
What idiots!
Something I learnt this week
No matter how hard you try it’s near on impossible to control the direction of a meeting with no clearly defined pre-set agenda.
I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come!
A week between posts that is. It’s not. It was the first week of uni this week and I was busier than usual - that’s my excuse. This post is just a collection of random things so maybe it’ll be boring. There, you’ve been warned.
My (very) belated new year’s resolution this year was to not be hungry. A strange resolution you might think but one that I should keep. I frequently forget to eat. I’m sure that’s weird for most people but it can’t be that weird since Google returns 5,210 results for “I forget to eat”. It just seems to slip my mind until I’m really hungry and then all of a sudden I realise but I wait until I’ve finished what I’m doing to do something about it. By the time I’ve finished what I’m doing I’ve forgotten again!
Next random thing.
I put my slick tires on my bike again today with the thought that I would ride to work a couple of days a week. Let’s hope so I actually do. On the fitness type thing. Aidan and I are going to attempt to do gym in the mornings soon. That could be very tough, we have enough trouble getting it together to go in the evenings.
Next random thing.
Hannah comes home this weekend!! Yay! She has been over visiting Mum, Dad & Nath. She also went all around Scandinavia and other parts of Europe.
