Pinhole Lego Camera
This is the best use I’ve seen for one of the best toys ever invented. Adrian Hanft from Found Photography has taken the time to devise a pinhole camera made of Lego. Now that is fantastic!

Should the bird go?
I think the redesign is coming along reasonably well but it will take a break for about a week and sit just like it sits now. I’m not sure if the bird will stay or go. I like the image but can’t find a way to work it in with the site well. There is lot’s of tweaking of the CSS yet to come and still some significant layout changes. Also I’ve finally started to put together an ‘about‘ section which needs a fair bit of work.
On a side note, Laura has some reasonably exciting news which I’m not allowed to announce yet, but it will happen.
A redesign
I’ve been hinting to an imminent site redesign for months now but it seems like it might never happen. I’ve only managed to put together a few seeds of ideas and nothing more. One of the major problems is that I just don’t have time to dedicate to it right now. But I’m impatient, I really wanted a new design for Spring [1], as a result I’m just going to start changing stuff and turn it into a slow evolution rather than a distinct redesign.
I’ve finally decided to embrace this whole folksonomy/tagging thing after setting up a del.icio.us account this week and so I spent this afternoon (or some of it at least) installing the Ultimate Tag Warrior plugin for WordPress and going back to May tagging all my old posts. My brand new tag cloud can be seen on the archives page.
I’m most impressed (as everyone is) with K2 but there’s nothing worse than opening up a blog for the first time to find a generic theme. It happened with Kubrick because it is now the WordPress default and there are so many sites out there that look very much like they have their roots in Kubrick. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love Kubrick and even more so K2, I just don’t want my site to look like them. Having said that there are some most excellent features of K2 which I’d love to incorporate (like the new commenting form). But instead of starting with K2 and working my way into individuality I’m going to start where I am and build in more individuality as well as some of the sweet K2 features. Here’s hoping it works.
