I just got a ping back on the new Footnotes plugin from a clearly new/experimental WordPress site in German which was sporting a fantastic look by Phu Ly developed as part of his Theme A Day series. It reminded me that I should join the masses and give his great work a plug.

Growing with pace

This site is by no means a high traffic place. In fact, according to Google Analytics, most days I struggle to get too far past double digits for the number of visits. However, starting from when I installed Google Analytics a while back, I've been slowly morphing into a stats whore. When I was looking through the statistics today this jumped out at me: We're not even at the end of February yet, and despite a slowing post rate this year, I've almost had more hits in 2006 than I did in all of 2005. Coffee, Summer Storms and Bad, Bad Grammar

I've just taken my morning trip to Merlo for some of the very best coffee Australia has to offer1. This morning the coffee was particularly good and to make it even better, just as I was walking back to the office, one of the best things about Brisbane happened; a summer shower. Footnotes 0.9 Plugin for WordPress 2.0.x

This post is now seriously old. GO AND FIND THE LATEST VERSION BY CLICKING HERE. Ok, so finally, after an unacceptable delay1, Footnotes 0.9 is released. I have chosen the rather arbitrary version number 0.9 because this is still pretty much untested (except for my requirements) so I'm expecting a few bugs to be uncovered over the next few months as more people use it, and I'll update to version 1.0 soonish.
