The Decemberists are an indie rock band specializing in morose sea shanties and upbeat songs regarding a myriad of fictional characters such as chimney sweeps and vagabonds. [last.fm]

That is probably the coolest description of a band I've ever heard! Having listened to a fair bit of their music I wouldn't have said they 'specialize'¹ in sea shanties. Nevertheless, their sea shanties are pretty cool.
