Flicking through my feeds this morning, I discovered (via skipp.net) that today is International Day of Awesomeness. Looking through Scott's list of things that are awesome, I realised I too have a bunch of things and people in my life that I think are awesome and/or regularly perform feats of awesomeness. While this realisation seems pretty obvious in retrospect, it's one of those things that just needs pointing out before you take the time to think about it.

Coffee, Summer Storms and Bad, Bad Grammar

I've just taken my morning trip to Merlo for some of the very best coffee Australia has to offer1. This morning the coffee was particularly good and to make it even better, just as I was walking back to the office, one of the best things about Brisbane happened; a summer shower. This unfortunately reminded me that there are probably only a few summer storms left this season. I will never tire of Brisbane summer storms.

What a grumpy ass!

I was just at the coffee shop (which I love but all the new staff are incompetent) and overheard a snippet of conversation. There was a guy grumbling:
"Grumble grumble grumble...I'm not a big fan of Easter anyway - Friday with out a paper and all that... grumble grumble grumble."
