I’ve just taken my morning trip to Merlo for some of the very best coffee Australia has to offer^[1]. This morning the coffee was particularly good and to make it even better, just as I was walking back to the office, one of the best things about Brisbane happened; a summer shower. This unfortunately reminded me that there are probably only a few summer storms left this season. I will never tire of Brisbane summer storms.

As I was walking past the paper stack I noticed (for once) an interesting looking article on the front page of The Courier Mail: Uni rocked by marking fiasco. It’s pretty hilarious in an embarrassing kind of way (embarrassing for the uni involved that is). A student is told that in order to improve his marks he needed to produce “more smarter writing.” Hilarious!

I was just at the coffee shop (which I love but all the new staff are incompetent) and overheard a snippet of conversation. There was a guy grumbling:

“Grumble grumble grumble…I’m not a big fan of Easter anyway - Friday with out a paper and all that… grumble grumble grumble.”
