About a week ago I started reading Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion. I'm around about one third of the way through, and already it is, without question, the best non-fiction book I've ever read. There is quotable passage after quotable passage. They're all extremely educational.
Yesterday on my way home, I read my favourite passage yet, and it's not even a Dawkins original. He's quoting an answer given by Jim Watson to a proposition posed in an interview that science is all about how things work and religion is about what it's all for.

It's been a ridiculous and ongoing debate in the US for some time now. The alternative theory of Intelligent Design is being promoted in schools in more than 20 states across the US and by the US President1.
