Probably the final London instalment from Laura:
Hello again!
I was sitting at work today, talking about Indian saris, and my boss Phil mentioned a sari he'd seen that was the colour electric blue. Of course, being an Australian child of the 80s, I started singing Electric Blues. Suddenly my colleagues were strangers; they did not know the words. They did not know the song. And they certainly didn't have a clue who Icehouse was. A thought came into my head: it's time to go home. So this afternoon, Simon and I paid for our flights back to Australia.

Finally fulfilling the promise of photos
§
So far this year I've managed to hit the shutter button more than 4915 times. Since not all of those clicks turned out well, I've made a selection of the photos I think are worthwhile looking at and uploaded some of them to my Flickr account. There will no doubt be more appear there over time, but this is a good start after being behind in uploading for most of the year.

Philadelphia Day 2

Check out what I found still sitting in my drafts. Since I've only just got around to going through my Philadelphia pictures in more detail and choosing the few I actually like for upload to Flickr, this is a good opportunity to post this which should have been posted ages ago. Even if the words below bore you, I'm sure you'll like the pictures. And incase you missed the first part.
Day two started out just like day one except it lacked the threat of having to wear my dirty, stinky, travelled in clothes. That's a plus.
Day two of ... more
Philadelphia Day 1
§
Note: This was originally one single post about the entire trip. I decided I should break it up so as not to bore people to death in one single hit. I figure it's much better to do that kind of thing over a number of days.
Note 2: This post has now been sitting in my drafts for way too long. Do people even remember me going to Philadelphia? It's been waiting for me to finish posts on days two and three so that I could publish them on successive days. Day two is still unfinished and day three is ... more
