The coming chaos
Well, today is the second day of winter and it was freezing this morning1!!! June is promising to be a very busy month, as is July, August and most definitely September.
I have about a week until the chaos really hits. Soccer finals are on their way (assuming we make it that far, given the Ooze is unavailable). We gave the bottom of the ladder mixed team an 18-0 drilling last night (or somewhere there, you lose count when it gets that high) which was a nice follow up to our poor performance in mens'. I'm going to Melbourne for work later in the month and there will be plenty of preparation required for that. The day after I'm back from Melbourne we start a month of live music awesomeness with Coldplay on the 24th. Laura heads on ski trip with school the next day after totally ignoring my pleas to go with her.
July is looking scary but fun in very many ways. The music is the best part, with the Eels on the 20th (once I have tickets - tonight hopefully) and Splendour in the Grass over the following four days. July is also the month I take a significant pay cut and go part time at my presently full time job to get a whole bunch more serious about Without Pockets. All the while, We'll also be getting a whole bunch more busy organising a wedding.
Bring on the chaos.
- Ok, so 6.8°C isn't freezing, but it might as well have been, I was damn cold. [↩]
